Joined the network in 2024 was…

Jane-Marie Ramil

Project Coordinator | Chief Operations Officer | Best known in DDM for coordinating the “Comédie Sur La Well Festival” (2024)

Jane Ramil is a jack (or rather, jane)-of-all-trades with experience in administration, event planning and writing. A Filipina born and raised in Montreal, she is invested in the city’s vibrancy, whether it be by organizing events or writing about its character. She is attracted to mess and complicated bureaucratic rules, often finding ways to simplify processes for her peers. While she relishes in the challenge of optimization, true fulfillment comes from making life easier for others (After all, she is an acts-of-service kind of gal!)

True to her astrological sign, Cancer, she is sentimental and nostalgic - traits that are reflected in her writing. Most of her work stems from the real-life experiences of her cultural community. Although her storytelling often carries a more serious tone, she remains easygoing and incorporates a playful energy in her copywriting. Whether crafting social media captions or procedural guidebooks, she believes that any writing can be informative and witty.

With a background in healthcare and community building, she is surrounded by leaders and visionaries who are constantly asked to be crafty and innovative despite a lack of resources; to do more with less. Although she is inspired by her colleagues’ devotion, she felt frustrated with how work was reduced to being a transfer of stress across company hierarchies. Believing in a more sustainable and impactful workflow, she followed Den’s lead in creating Den du Monde - building an encouraging team structure where passion, not stress, drives creatives.

Mea-Anne Distor

Project Coordinator | Best known in DDM for her work in the Jocylyne Bustamante Outreach project (2024)

Salut tout le monde! I’m Mea-Anne, a Project Coordinator here at DDM! I’m excited to take on this new role and see what’s in store for us!

I go by a few different names—Mea-Anne, Mea, and Manang (which means “older sister” in Tagalog, though ironically, I might be one of the youngest on the team). I’m also a huge lover of all things strawberry, green, nature-related (think trees, mountains, and the sea), and of course, Montreal!—I love my home city with a passion! If you're ever in need of a tour guide around the city, I'm your go-to person!

I’m currently an undergraduate student at Concordia University in Montreal, pursuing a degree in Sociology with a minor in Human Relations. With a solid background in project planning, event management, and community development, I believe that I bring valuable experience to this role. Through my active involvement in several passion projects and organizations, like FOCUS (Filipino Organization of Concordia University Students) and CFC (Couples for Christ), where I’ve had the opportunity to lead and collaborate on impactful initiatives, I’m definitely a busy bee!

I’m super excited to be part of the team, and I can’t wait to learn, create, and grow along the way!

À bientôt!
