My name is Ian (he/him), happy to serve as one of the Independent Creatives at DDM! I am an upper-year Political Science and Journalism student at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver with a passion in community engagement and communications media. I have been heavily involved in the student community at UBC, gaining experience in strategic planning, event management, outreach and stakeholder engagement, and finally, digital media, branding and marketing. Currently, I am the VP Media Production for the UBC Student Alumni Council where I work with my coordinators to create graphics, short-form videos, and campaigns that connect students and alumni at UBC. A fun fact about me is that in the summer I joined DDM, I helped organize the Filipino Heritage Month 2024 Reception on the Hill as an intern for the Hon. Rechie Valdez, Minister of Small Business. During my free time, I like to go shopping, yell at karaoke, watch cooking shows, and play board games. If I’m feeling sporty, I can do mini-golf and pool!
